Fire Emblem™: Fortune’s Weave is available now for Nintendo Switch™ 2, marking the latest entry in Nintendo’s long-running tactical RPG series. The all-new adventure is set in the Dagdan Empire, where the return of the demon god Balor sends players back in time with the goddess Fortuna to the Heroic Games in Dagsion, an elite competition whose winner is granted one wish.

The game follows four key warriors—Cai, Dietrich, Theodora and Leda—whose individual storylines can be played in any order, with players able to move between them during progression. Combat centers on strategic, turn-based battles with unit positioning, character classes, weapons, magic, armor and special attacks all factoring into encounters ranging from smaller skirmishes to larger rule-based battles.

New mechanics include Blaze Arts, powerful hero-specific moves that cost HP and build the Blaze Gauge, which can grant bonuses before triggering a Burst effect that removes those bonuses and reduces the character’s maximum HP. Between major story events, players can recruit allies, develop Blessings, train, build relationships, complete quests, gather resources, fight roaming enemies and explore dungeons for loot. Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is listed at $69.99 for Nintendo Switch 2 and carries an ESRB Teen rating with Fantasy Violence, Mild Language, Suggestive Themes, Use of Alcohol and In-Game Purchases.
