The Wilderness Bound game drop is now available for Minecraft on Nintendo Switch, adding new exploration and building content through a free software update. The update introduces the dappled forest, a rust-toned biome featuring red shrubs, poplar trees, bouncy shelf mushrooms and materials for a new poplar wood set.

Players can also encounter the abandoned camp, a new structure found in forest biomes that may contain tents, straw beds, cushions, a campfire and loot. The cushion adds a new seating option that can be found in abandoned camps or crafted with three wool slabs of the same color, while the consumable straw bed lets players skip the night without changing their respawn point and can be crafted with three hay bales.

Additional building options include the poplar wood set with herringbone doors and trapdoors, wool slabs and stairs in all 16 colors, and concrete slabs and stairs. Downloading software updates requires a broadband internet connection, along with Nintendo Account registration and linkage and acceptance of the Nintendo Account Agreement and Privacy Policy.
