Nintendo will run the Tetris® 99 57th MAXIMUS CUP online event from Oct. 2 at 12:00 a.m. PT through Oct. 5 at 11:59 p.m. PT. During the event, players can unlock an in-game theme based on Fire Emblem™: Fortune’s Weave, the upcoming title for Nintendo Switch™ 2, by earning 100 event points in Tetris 99 mode.

Tetris 99 is available for Nintendo Switch, with online play requiring a Nintendo Switch Online membership and a Nintendo Account. Nintendo is also offering a free 7-day Nintendo Switch Online trial for eligible accounts, though the trial converts to a 1-month auto-renewing membership unless canceled and is not valid for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack or accounts with an active Individual or Family Membership.
